Welcome to The Water Link!
I’m Shakeel, a passionate advocate for water sustainability with over 20 years of experience in water and wastewater management. As a Lead Engineer for water infrastructure projects, I’ve worked across diverse geographies, including the Middle East and South Asia, tackling the complex challenges of water treatment, distribution, and environmental conservation.
My journey began with a degree in Chemical Engineering and a Master’s in Project Management, which fueled my dedication to improving water resources. From optimizing sewage treatment designs to championing water-positive initiatives, I’ve immersed myself in projects that balance technical excellence with sustainability.
Beyond my professional endeavors, water holds a special place in my heart. It’s more than a resource—it’s a lifeline, a symbol of resilience, and an essential for thriving communities. Through this blog, I share insights on topics like PFAS contamination, water tourism, and sustainable water solutions, with a focus on regions like Saudi Arabia and Kashmir.
Join me as I explore innovative strategies, share lessons learned, and celebrate the power of water in shaping a better future.
Feel free to connect and share your thoughts—I’d love to hear from you!
